Being vague about Kaylan because I don't know how this thread is going to turn out!

Floki wasn't normally an early riser -- he preferred to sleep until the midmorning sun and the chirping of birds roused him -- but there had been a lot on his mind lately. First Tevinter's return; then the discovery of the bears that apparently called Moonspear home; and now Kaylan. Only one of those issues seemed to be even halfway resolved, and there was still much headway to be made in his relationship with Tevinter. As for the other two, he avoided places where the bears' scents were strong and tried not to worry too much about Kaylan.

It was no surprise, however, when he found himself awake as the first colors of dawn painted the horizon. Rather than toss and turn and risk waking Wildfire, he carefully rose and tiptoed away, moving quietly through the chill of the morning. His feet carried him haphazardly towards the borders, and there he spotted his mirror image.

With a chuff, Floki trotted towards his twin, unintentionally matching him stride for stride as he approached. To an onlooker, their identical appearance would be striking -- but beneath the surface were two very different wolves. "You're up early," Floki commented as he fell into step next to Tevinter.
