Burke let out a soft growl as his son showed disobedience by talking back to her. He understood that Pietro might be protective but he also had to understand Burke would never hurt his daughter or son. He instantly moved his muzzle to Pietro too, giving him a nip too, it was not more than a light gaze of his teeth. A mere warning instead of it hurting. The father was disciplining his son in a very normal way for parents or adult wolves. He even used this technique on disobedient subordinates. "Behave,"he warned him.

"I would never hurt you and your sister. Ever. I am however you father and I will correct you if needed. The way you were trying to keep her warm might not have been the right one, Pietro. Your intentions were good but with her laying down her muscles would have grown cold, her limbs would have frozen and her blood would eventually stop flowing," he explained. Mentoring him about how a body worked, maybe it was still too complicated for the young boy to understand but Burke wanted to give him a sense of knowledge. He was mated to a healer and had been a warrior himself. He wasn't a healer himself but he knew how his body worked. "You did good in calling me, son. But don't howl for my help and then tell me what to do," he spoke to him, his tone calm, never yelling, though it did have a slightly scolding tone.

Burke started trotting now, expecting his children to follow him. He did held back a bit so Kendra could keep up. He didn't want to overwork her young muscles. Then father took a turn to the right and went underground into the tunnels. "Stay close," he spoke, keeping his pace into a trot. Burke kept a close eye on where he placed his feet, not wanting to step on them, or lose them in the tunnels. It didn't take long before they came by an underground lake, away from the winds and cold. "Get in Kendra," he spoke.
