Porcupine Ridge Curiosity killed the cat

Anwyl watched Kesan his tail wagging and his tongue hanging outside his mouth. He always stuck out his tongue when he was focused, a habit really. Kesan seemed to be analyzing her surroundings trying to come up with something. Anwyl caught on to that and prepared for her to kick up a snow pile next to him, or shovel some up into his face the way she had before. Well she did something he wasn't expecting. She began to circle him until she was completely on the opposite side then she'd originally been on. What is she doing? He though in confusion still prepared for an onslaught of snowy kicks.

Suddenly she lunged forwards and nipped at his face. Completely taken aback, he scrambled backwards to avoid being bitten and felt himself colliding with a root shelf. All of the snow that it carried tumbled down onto him like a sudden blizzard. He popped his head out of the snow pile, shaking it free of the flakes. He pounced out of the snow, prancing on his feet to warm up. He then stopped and gave her a impish smirk. He had noticed a branch above her own head piled up with snow. And he had managed to get right next to the tree that bore it.

The playful youngster rammed his shoulder into the tree, causing the snow to crash down towards his play mate.
