Wildfire skidded to a stop at the bottom of the boulder pile, eyes widening as she watched Finley begin leaping from one boulder to the next. What if one came loose and the entire lot of them went sliding down the mountain? The youth's heart fluttered in her chest at the thought but it didn't stop her from jumping at the closest stone, paws scrambling for purchase as she hoisted herself atop it. With a grunt, she then sprang for the next one, her godmother leading her in a zig-zag pattern up the rocky terrain.

She made it more than halfway up without a single incident. Of course, Wildfire's luck wouldn't hold out forever. She went to make a relatively parallel leap across the gap between two enormous boulders and instead kicked her own ankle out from beneath herself and went tumbling into the gap instead. Luckily, she only fell a few feet. Unluckily, the juvenile found herself tightly wedged in the cleft and unable to wriggle free.
