The atmosphere shifted in an instant, as if a snap of lightning had cleared the air, and Tavi shrunk to the ground, her body trembling from the emotion now. Her words fell upon stunned ears, and he felt the rage pull at him, his jaws opening and closing without sound for only a moment. Then, in that moment, he snarled, his ears defiantly falling back to his skull and Pippin spoke his first words since they ahd abandoned the Creek: "You tried to kill my mom!"
 
But even the youthful indignation could not fathom what it was he might have done, and his own form trembled now as he looked to the completely downfallen Tambourine -- completely unmoving now. It seemed so foolish in an instant, to believe that the tiny boy could have been in on Tavi's plot, and the wave of guilt that washed over him now was so overwhelming that Pippin could scarcely keep himself from crumbling under the weight of his actions.
 
His mind went blank, and with a surprising amount of energy, the golden youth fled the scene -- his paws thrummed the ground as he stumbled down the steep grounds, flying past the nature that was now only starting to grow back. He did not look back -- he was only keen on disappearing.
