Haunted Wood Get off that rollercoaster

She walked in the shallows of a river, upstream. Following it downstream would merely lead her back to the lake, and while it was a beautiful place, she wished to explore these woods now. She had no name for the river, nor was she sure that it would lead very far. Never the less, she continued to travel up it, paws and forelimbs drenched as she continued her slow walk. Dragonflies hummed lazily along the river, their droning audible over the rush of the river. 

The girl, tired, pulled herself from the river and trot to a tree, a willow, branches creating a curtain around her as she settled near the trunk, watching through the branches the river as it flowed perpetually to the lake, sitting alert and half reclining on her side.
