She was flying over head when she saw the incident unfold. The large and dark colored male wolf was easy to spot against the white snow covered ground. There was very little to keep him hidden. Other then a few rock structures it was an open grass field.
Aside from him she also saw his prey. A fowl turned in the opposite direction. The only reason as to why it wouldn't have seen him already. She flew down from the sky and perched on one of the rock formations behind the wolf. Astor wasn't particularly hungry, but the fowl wouldn't know that and would most likley run away if it had caught sight of her.
As she swooped down it didn't seem as though she was seen, by the fowl or the male wolf. She stopped to watch. To see if this wolf was going to be sucessful before the nutorious kildeer of this area either alerted the fowl or spooked the male.
