With his wounds farther along in the healing process, Kove ventured from the bypass with relative ease. So long had passed since he was last in the region, some things having changed, though most was just the same as it’d always been; there were often times where he missed the area and wished to visit, but had never made the journey—seems like all he needed to get moving was a war on his doorstep. A part of him wished to stay there, even, yet he knew he could not as abandoning Blackfeather was out of the question. Knowing he would have to leave—and soon—he made the most of what little time he had as he trailed southwards.
It was a distant memory now, a meeting with his daughter that was so terribly clouded only a few things stood out to him anymore. Luckily, of those things was the location of her pack—at least, it was once the location. Whether or not she resided there to this day, he had no way of knowing, though the scent markers lining the territory gave him some hope; there was a pack still there, judging by the intensity of the scents.
Kove trailed along the outskirts of the area for a short while. When at last he chose to stop, it was due primarily to a sudden limp (curse the aging body!). And although it frustrated him at first—he didn’t like the reminder that he was getting older, that there were some things he could not do as easily as when he was young—he took it as a sign and finally tilted his head back to let out a howl for the residents of Stone Circle.
