Short post.
Grezig could not smell the wolf coming for the blood covering her face. All she smelled was blood and fox-scent. She did not appreciate being startled (though it was not really the other wolf’s fault) and took up a growl immediately. Her ears pushed forward in aggression, but she did not stop eating. She tore into her food with greater gusto, as if to say This is mine, it is delicious, and you can’t have any. She had always been extremely territorial of food, even when it had been much easier to come by, and now that she was a loner, she was even more so.
The other wolf did nothing, and soon, Grezig had finished her meal. Without another word, she got up and left.
