Silver eyes watched her collapsed with a sound that sent shivers down his spine.

Rokig was positively terrified. Terrified of her well-being, terrified of what could have caused this all to happen. He was selfishly thinking this was all his fault. If he had just helped her a little bit more or if he had never even brought her home at all maybe this never would have happened. He wouldn't have to watch one of his only friends be tortured by problems he couldn't fix.

He couldn't help but cry at Lainie's form shaking against him. This was worse than anything he had dealt with before.
