Big Salmon Lake Harmony

He'd probably find it pretty unfortunate that hunting wasn't the absolute top of her list of things to do.  The particular track she'd found was leading away from the shore and she followed it several paces in that direction to see if she could figure out anything more about it.  It seemed like there would maybe be more wolves along the mountains?  Hmm.  Skydance would have to continue that way.

As she raised her head and scanned around, she found that a squat dark creature was watching her from an almost uncomfortably close distance.  Huh.  The heck was that.  Uh.  Problem: she wanted to get to the other side.  Her ears flicked back on her head a moment before she swung away from the water and the other animal in a wide arc, eventually heading back to the water's edge on the other side at a farther distance away. Skydance took a drink, then peered at it again, mentally rifling through a list of what it could be.  Badger?  Wolverine?  A very small mutant bear?  It wasn't like she'd had a ton of encounters with any of those -- she was still pretty young -- but everything said keep at a distance.  Yeah.  That sounded like the plan.  Assuming it wouldn't follow her and close that distance again.

Maybe it'd decide she was boring and leave her alone so she could go about her way.
