He had travelled as far as he could in every period. The time melted together as he walked. With no energy to run the time it took for him to reach the familiar scene of ice took almost twice as long. He didn’t waste time at the border calling for anyone. No he did his best from dripping blood along the semi-frozen ground to find the one person he could trust above all else with an injury like this. His sister @Tahani . Venturing deep into the heart to the land he followed her scent until just outside the den where his youngest relatives slept. He was glad to find that everyone was out, his trip to discover the Apaata’s threat going undiscovered, successfully hidden by the idea of scouting the area for a few days.
As he approached the den deep within the cave system where most of his new family slept, Siarut paused and let a gentle chuff to call for Tahani. The chilly night air had frozen the blood that stuck to Sia’s fur making it easier to conceal the injury. Tahani came alone, much to Sia’s gratitude. Before the woman could see him in his full glory Siarut turned away and head for the entrance of the cave system buried deep in the glacier. He could hear Tahani following silently, no doubt wondering where he was leading her. Sia was glad for the lack of communication, lest he have to explain why he had called for her.
As they made their way across of the land that was crisp with frost, Siarut almost collapsed as they arrived at the grotto. No many ventured this way, as the shifting ice of the labyrinth made the area dangerous. But Siarut appreciated the solace and the cool surroundings. Rather than venturing to far into the system with his injury Siarut plopped himself down infront of the entrance, trusting none to even venture this far.
He didn’t tell Tahani what happened, avoiding her well timed questions with questions of his own. He had only been gone a few days and yet he felt as though he had been gone for so long. The Atausiq would have to think of a reason for his absence and his wound in short time, he knew as much. But for the moment he was able to bask in the company of his litter mate without a worry.
She smeared some brownish concoction on his wound, as which he hissed at the application. She said it would help the wound to close and prevent infection. But Siarut was not happy at the sting that welcomed him, bearing down into his very bones. Tahani stayed close to his side the next few days as he was in no condition to care for himself. She brought him food and reapplied the paste on his chest. It wasn’t until Siarut finally admitted that he was feeling better that his beloved sister finally returned Curri and the other pups. Leaving Siarut alone to contemplate the interaction with Ceara.
