the voice sounded from behind him and the boy turned his head around to latch eyes with the dark alpha of their pack. the voice had been familiar enough; there was little to no reaction from the boy in regard to being surprised by the sudden arrival. illidan hadn't found too many real chances to be alone in their pack lands. while their numbers were smaller, he still managed to find someone he knew on the same path.

“kavik,” the boy greeted with a dip of his head. his voice had deepened and his eyes were a sharp, glittering yellow from his dark hood. then, the savage turned his head away from the man who had taken him in. he could not help but to wonder if they had tried searching for the rest of his real family, or if they had simply expected him to live with them for the rest of his life. it wouldn't have mattered anyway.
