Blacktail Deer Plateau The road outside my house is paved with good intentions

She could only stare up at him, adoration in her dark gaze as his loving words reached her ears. Her gaze softened as he vowed to never give her reason to doubt his love again. It was getting easier to believe. 

"I know," she whispered, burying her face against his coat in a hug. 

Feeling safe and protected from anything that would cause her harm - including herself - she allowed herself to drift peacefully to sleep in her mate's embrace.
