Felltree Marsh alone and only a sojourner in the land, without friends or the need of them

the pace that he set was a slow and steady one; his limbs had suffered from the fight on the cliffs, and he had not done well to provide them with the rest that they needed. he did what he could to lead the strange woman toward the willow trees that he had seen when he'd visited elysium. they had been kind enough there, but he anticipated that they would not have been met kindly if they trespassed on the land. so, he figured they could find bark from a willow tree outside the territory.
