perhaps the unease hadn't been uncalled for, she supposed her gut instinct had gotten her this far so why start doubting it now? incomprehensible noises would slip from the seemingly cowering brute and tundra would subconciously flex her claws against the soft dirt. was he even sane? sure she should chase him off if not, not only was it basic protocol to not accept something into your pack that could cause it harm, she specifically remembered maegi telling tundra she didn't want anymore crazy in these woods. had she been in this circumstance a year or so ago it would've been an easy decision, chase him off at once or possibly end such a miserable life. yet things were obviously different here and....so was..she. however that would not make her easy on him and not a chance was she letting him past if he didn't get a hold of himself, it wasn't her choice to make but personally the mere feeling she got around him would be enough to deny him access to the place.
but trying hard not to jump the gun she would simply gaze on harshly as he appeared to attempt to speak- and failing, over and over again. biting back her rising impatience, the fae would clench her jaw but still keep silent. her muscles were bunched under her thick pelt and she felt like a coiled spring- ready to snap at the slightest sign of a threat. he just wasn't right, his mere scent seemed tinged with...well plain wrongness.
'gu-oin?'
was he asking to join? had to be it. she'd inhale slowly, gathering herself and letting the snappy emotions brought on by her unease fade back behind a simple reserved but still cold look. when she spoke in a clipped tone it was simply to repeat her intial question- "who are you?" he wouldn't get an answer on his request if he couldn't answer a question as simple as that. there was more she wished to ask but aware that his speech seemed somewhat...limited, she'd try not to bombard him.
