it had been a while but nightmares had plagued her dreams for the first time in ages- resulting in her waking with a start and in quite the foul mood. she'd seen him. she hadn't in a long time but perhaps it was because she had buried him and recently upon recalling him she'd shifted some of the debris he resided beneath. her long tail would lash as her gaze would lift to the sky, fuck sake was she growing soft? was that why such memories had an easier time at making sharp jabs at her than before? she supposed it would make sense, teekon couldn't appear anymore peaceful after what she'd come from....ran from. she remained crouched for a few more moments- features creased into a frown much more expressionate that her normal solemn expression. however a sharp caw from a nearby raven would jolt her from such spiralling thoughts as she'd jump ever so slightly. "alright alright" she'd mutter up at the bird as it'd ruffle its feathers, seeming satisfied that it had suceeded in bringing her back.
standing she'd inhale the comforting forest scents, feeling the unease brought by the dreams fall away as her mind connected more with the waking world. there was absolutely no point in going back there- it was done and there was nothing she could do to change it. this was her life now and that's what she'd focus on. and yet, there was something so unsatisfying about that statement but alas she merely ignored it as she tended to do with all stray emotions that tried to toy with her mind. she'd allow her forepaws to slip forward into a stretch, grunting as she pushed until she got that crack before straightening up. with that she'd move off from where she'd tucked herelf under the roots of a large tree to catch some well needed sleep at a brisk walk- ears perked atop her head and dark eyes alert.
it was not long before sounds disrupted the otherwise silence of the woods save the whistling breeze and chatter of the birds which suggested the presence of another. having nothing better to do tundra would investigate the noise- eventually coming face to face with the scene of maegi aboslutely devouring what must have once been a small animal. the young soldier would simply arch a brow and let a "hungry?" slip from her jaws by ways of greeting.
