Wraen confessed that she didn't have many friends, which surprised Wildfire. She was so charismatic, it was really hard to believe. But she wasn't wrong about her prospects, at least here in the pack. All the mature males were spoken for and, as far as the Sovereign was aware, not a one of them would be remotely interested in any sort of polygamous arrangement, should Wraen even entertain the possibility of such a thing.

That made her wonder if Wraen was traditional, therefore seeking a mate because it was "the thing to do" or if she truly wanted a partner and family. "This is something you want for yourself?" Wildfire decided to clarify, "A mate? And children?" There were other callings in life, though obviously, the pursuit of a mate and pups was a strong and natural one.
