Hushed Willows chains

The little one had so many things running through her small mind. Many that were beyond her understanding. She didn’t know why her mother went to sleep and never wake up as she did but that thought kept her up many nights afraid that she too would not wake.

Her brothers seemed to be avoiding her completely. She saw them in passing but that was all. She couldn’t understand why they all wanted to be apart. Why when she cried she got no comfort other than by her father, but there was only so much time he could give and she knew that.

She was all by her lonesome as she found herself most of the time. She was so tired but she managed to keep busy. The thing that caught her attention was a howl; a vague on but heard none the less and in her mind it required inspection.

She followed the noise and came across a wolf at the borders. “Hello.” She managed a strained greeting and tried to make herself sound normal.
