his embarrassment slowly faded into humiliation, feeling entirely mortified(look at all those synonyms!). and as bat began to buckle down laughing, tristan realized a few things -- the first thing was that being laughed at actually made this situation better... all the blood was going other places. but also that bat either didn't realize why or was blatantly ignoring his comment. he hoped it was the first, because the second one left a real bad stinging in his... heart. oh, barf. moving past that.
