He wanted food, so badly. His stomach roared with such intensity he was sure that the other Nightwalkers had heard it. He was an idiot, he had given so much food away and eaten so little himself that he was now ravenous as the prey brought home increased dramatically. The stench of the moose was almost overwhelming and he retched as his stomach revolted at the smell of food. He grew closer and closer, nearly close enough to be seen before the howl of alarm from a she wolf startled him and he scampered back. Then the stench of...something terrible lying beneath the meaty scent of the moose hit him and he backed off turning to walk home, ears flattening back against his head as his stomach roared and snarled at him as if angry for turning down the chance for a meal.
