Her call went unanswered for now. Shaking her head with frustration, her ocean eyes gazed upon the stranger once more. A girl their age just struggling to breathe. Huā sighed, wishing she had studied the herbs, wishing she knew any way to help- this woman could not die at her feet.
And as she's looking at her, the girl seems to stare right back- with warm two-tone eyes like honey and tea. Her mouth, opening to say something- Huā was on the edge of her seat to hear it- and the girl collapses again.
Ying checks her heartbeat, which Huā figured was still beating. But the ghost has nothing to say, and instead looks to Huā for a decision. Now she felt the pressure of responsibility. There was no part of her that would consider throwing the castaway back to the sea, but she did wonder how they could afford to care for her. Hoping they had a medic, or medic-in-training, she makes her decision.
