She knew Serem's time was near, and the other females in the pack couldn't be that far behind. It was with a haughtily held head, that she prided herself among being the few who had not become swollen with the seed of a male. She couldn't be tied down by parenthood. It was only for Serem's sake, did she arrive at the denning area. She made her appearance silently, seemingly detached and aloof to those around her. She knew better than to get close, and situated herself well away from the entrance to the new mother's den. The smell of afterbirth and new life confirmed what had transpired here today. She had little interest in meeting the cubs, if ever. Knowing that her simple presence and the traces of her scent would be enough to let Serem know she was here, Tzila would linger just a little while longer.
