The pretty russet woman asked where he was from and he blinked, eyes going wide for a moment as he tried not to shoot Clay an alarmed look. Then she followed it up with one even worse and his ears pressed back against his skull, tail tucking between his legs. Looking slowly to Clay his lips trembled as he exhaled slowly and turned to the woman and nodded slowly hanging his head "I tried to keep him safe when he was brought in...he escaped and I let him go" he whispered the confession softly swallowing down the lump in his throat.
