He did his damndest to consider himself dead, promptly drooling on the ground as his tongue hung out. He ignored her voice, engaging with his dead self, embracing an entirely limp and empty existence.
Of course, it didn't take long for her to warm him into life. He breathed back into it all and licked his lips, open-mouthed. Takiyok buried herself in his fur, and they embraced one another with only the warmth of their bodies. While she pressed herself onto him, he felt free. Everything else drifted away. The earlier worry vanished. The serious talk had conclusions and decisions, and instead of buzzing with those, Taikon was left with only her.
She was beautiful against him. He hoped, selfishly, that they could stay like that forever.
For now, the prince would merely hold onto her for as long as he could. The moment would pass soon enough, but they were so much more than just one moment.
