Skepticism furrowed her brows while she looked on as Leonidas began to devour the nutrition that her body demanded. A palpable growl reverberated from her stomach, but Dysis was pressed to concede. She ground her teeth at the thought of sharing a meal with the brute before her. The large female knew the customs surrounding such an act as the one he had performed, and she refused to submit to his tyranny.

A muscular body propelled her as she walked away from the temptation that was Leonidas. Her back was turned to him for mere moments before her figure settled atop a small patch of moss mere feet away from his gorging form. Her eyes met with the molten gold of his own in a stare off as he continued. After several long moments, Dysis rested her head atop her paws while the rain continued to lightly sprinkle her already soaked fur.

Stop speaking like you know me, Leonidas. You know not of what will be my undoing. I would rather die a proud woman than a coward. There was an edge to her already monotone voice. It was true. Dysis had done her due-diligence to ensure that her comings and goings had remained private among her peers. The woman had never entrusted anyone with anything, much less the workings of her own mind.

Her stomach was protesting all the while, but Dysis refused such a mortal action as to give the wolf before her a metaphorical win. If her teeth were to touch the flesh, she would be forced to present him with the token of his kill. She would be forced to concede that his actions had kept her from harm. The stubborn wolf wanted no such thing. Dysis owed him nothing.

The demoness moved to clean her paws of the blood that had seeped onto them from the carcass. The thick liquid had stained her tan paws crimson in her absentminded bid for space. An action to stave off the hunger, and the large female was fairly confident he would not rush her now after having assisted her mere moments before. There were words brooding within the recesses of her own mind as she worked, but there was one that stood above all else. why? The motives of his actions floored her in a way that could send any calculating mind reeling over all the things she thought she had known.
