Two Eyes Cenote [ap]And so we meet again

Looking forward to a Briar and @Legend reunion. Loosely backdated to party week. <3

Briar stepped outside of the feast hall. Tongue swiping across his jaws after having his fill. Plenty of familiar and exotic morsels having been sampled, he searched for a quieter space to digest. Sidestepping fellahin that attempted to ply him with more food and drink, Briar began to make way to the guest chambers designated for him.

The raucous laughter within the hall echoed through the stone tunnels. Ears twitching, he paused. There was more, wasn't there? His head craned, tipping back and forth to better emphasize what his large ears detected. There was another echo. It was familiar. What was it?


Water.


Running water. He hadn't noticed it before. With the ceremony, the crowded halls, and the loud party space he had not heard it. Yet there it was.

Just where was it?

Ears straining, he followed the sound of the water. It grew louder and louder. Until he stepped into a chamber with a large pool. It reflected the moon. He then looked upwards, to the open air above. He murmured softly to himself, Well would you look at that?
