Ever since the attack, Reina found it hard to journey out to the boundaries of her home. The fear of running into another lone male ran rampant in her veins. Slowly, she would venture further and further out, but today was not one of those days.
Dogtooth Cavern was a place of solace, the stalactites and stalagmites of all lengths and sizes, were here companions, guardians. The red woman felt comfort in their presence, and would sometimes give them a show as they watched over her.
She had been feeling particularly solemn this morning, so she slipped away in the early light where they kissed the shadows of night goodbye. Her heart felt heavy. So she put it into words, into a soft, sad melody. Maybe it would leave her once it left her lips.
Maybe.
After weaving through the stalagmites, she found her favorite spot that jutted into the lake of the Cavern. There she could watch the drippings from above ripple the water below, losing herself in the rings as she sang.
She sighed as she finished, head on her paws. Her heart did not feel lighter, not in the slightest.

In the quiet corners of my mind,
Where shadows whisper I am unworthy,
Lies a yearning for love,
To burn for someone, and they for me
But why do I feel like I'm unworthy of the sun?
When it shines for all, though I lie in the dark
The tendrils of grief and pain grip me so tight,
I fear the sun will never reach my heart
She sighed as she finished, head on her paws. Her heart did not feel lighter, not in the slightest.
