He shrugged, and she nodded in reply—they’d find something together. While she wasn’t concerned about finding prey or tracking it down, she found herself distracted by superficial things regarding her appearance, and these thoughts filled her head and heart with anxiety. 

When he motioned for her to go first, her face grew warm, and she shyly dipped her head as she stepped forward. When she went to take her next step,  she tripped and fell flat on her face. Ugh ... she groaned, laying there as embarrassment overtook her.
