The heat that singed his ears spread across his cheeks. A fiery flush that would be felt for years to come when he would remember this moment. Ears splayed, his tail wagged sheepishly. He never was the best talker was he?

There is also a great lake north to our home to hunt water birds, and to the west a forest for fox fur. He knew that moose enjoyed the wetlands, but Ujurak had yet to face the megafauna. He could not promise it with honesty. Turquoise eyes gently studied the sea-wolf, trying to gauge her interest. I cannot find octopus in my home, would choice cuts of deer or elk be fair to you, or would you value something else?

Ujurak settled himself within the water, sending ripples across the surface. His answer was with honestly and his question earnest. Her answer would be all the more important to broadening his worldview, and education his own sense of value.

She asks of Kristjan again. His heart aches more as he gently looks to their reflections within the water. Hers more so; he did not care to see his own image. I do not know. He always did travel. I just hope he is safe, wherever he is.
