blackfell's pawsteps came to a halt at the stream’s edge, crimson eyes scanning the water's rippling surface before he bent to drink.

the snap of a twig followed by the faint rustle of leaves drew his attention sharply. his ears flicked back, his head lifting as his eyes narrowed toward the disturbance. there, barely concealed by the brush, a shadow moved.

annoyed, his face falls flat. what a terrible fucking attempt at stalking.

his scarred snout points toward the intruder and brows quirk, clearly unimpressed. i can see you. he drones.

there comes the rustle of brush and branch, then a black shadow swooping down for the white girl lingering in the shadows. he lands upon her head and begins pecking at her face like a winged menace. this does earn a snort from the man.
