As Lorcan closes the distance, Ayovi slams it, chin wrenched up to lay bare teeth just in line with his jaw. Their breaths roll hotly, mirrored hackles in dark and light blanching wrath. She should have been terrified, a part of her longed to recoil. But the other, stronger half wanted to geld him.  “You can't outrun this. She's too good for that. I think you know it, otherwise you’d be long gone by now,” Ayovi snarls, tail striking up over her hips.
“You’re going to talk to her about it. You’re going to explain what happened. Like a man would—if you’re capable of acting like one. I’m not so sure, seeing as how your grand foray is threatening to kill a pregnant woman with no defense.”
