towhee jr had not expected a girl, somewhere around tzar's own age if she had to guess, to greet her. hesitation grips towhee jr as she reads the ptero, wondering how much she should share. just because she held nothing back from tzar did not mean that other parents were the same.

weary to overstep, towhee jr offered honesty. -not yet.- she signs, ears fluttering back to rest at half mast atop her skull. -but we'll keep looking.- she is quick to add.

but, she was his mother and she knew him. she knew he needed something to focus his obsessive energy on. better it be helping to find young peregrine then the graves and ghosts of his father and siblings. -have you tried looking for him in the caldera, here?- asks towhee jr, though she suspected he was no longer in territory. if he was, surely one of them would've found him by now.
