The crisp breeze of the winter air blew in from over the river, ruffling the timber brute's fur quite a bit as he trotted along it. He was unsure what had brought him here, or why he continued to walk along the river after having seen the lake. Maybe it was because he was still so use to traveling around, or perhaps because he had the desire to get away from the dark forest. Kove enjoyed how his coat stood out among all the dark shadows that lived within it's walls, but the other wolves that it held sometimes seemed a bit... off. His paws continued to carry him further and further as he thought of his new pack, having never thought he'd join one. The idea of being tied down was unappealing, but he had learned that while they were to defend their lands, that didn't mean they couldn't explore further from it.
The Apaata male was pulled from his own thoughts as a dark form intruded his line of sight. It matched that of another lupine, and his curiosity got the better of him. His paws didn't stop until he'd grown a bit closer to the other wolf, making sure to at least enter hearing distance. Following her gaze, his copper orbs looked out to the piece of land, studying it before returning his gaze to the female.
"Are you planning on swimming across?" Kove inquired, turning his head again to eye the river. "Might be a bit cold though."
