I've been so eagerly awaiting this!

It was unusual for her to be up so early – her mind was restless and she could not help but pace. Her heat would be upon her soon – a time that should have been joyous, but instead left her in a flutter of nerves. Taggarik’s more recent affections for her likely only stemmed from her rank, and if she could not produce a litter for him, it would likely be stripped from her.
 
A pale form came before her, during her trek, and she noted Vuk – the gentle she-wolf whose company she enjoyed tremendously. Steeling forward, she was about to say hello – a small smile gracing her slender muzzle as she felt the nervousness drift away.. only until the spring breeze swept past.

The pack Beta beat her to her -- his form eagerly reaching the girl, and Capri felt herself bristle, her form lifting to full stature. This was her and Taggarik's right.
 
The scent was undeniable, and Capri stared at the girl, her jaw slackening in doubt. “Vuk,” she began, fear gripping her. “My darling, come here.” Her gaze was cold as it looked to The Wolf, her lip curling at him.
