Blackwater Islands so a consort and a harlot walk into a bar

The slight splashes of water from a bit farther up the coast caught Kalika's attention, though slight nonetheless. She slowly craned her head to see who had been delivered upon her by the Sea, and seeing it to be one of the consorts, she plastered a grin onto her face. A chirp escaped her maw to call him forward a few paces, as she had nought the energy to go to him in her own right. 

As he came closer, Kalika looked him over to examine his youthful frame for any signs of abuse. He was thinner than she might have wished, though she could tell by his willingness to serve that he would make it far in their ranks. 

Or at least as far as he could.

Why were you at the shoreline, sweetheart? Speaking to the Sea? The purr of her voice was intoxicating, albeit a bit slurred from her mental scattering. What troubles you, consort?
