Overture Downs You're picking up the pieces to the ghosts that will haunt you

Kieran was wandering again. He enjoyed exploring very much, especially know that he had a pack - one that wasn't going to vanish any time soon. This, in itself, gave him much more peace than he had previously had in his life. But then again, after meeting various other youngsters he had come to the conclusion that not everyone had experienced the same things he had. He thought it was normal to lose so much, so many, at a young age (he had been 1-4 months at the time), but clearly he had been wrong.

This time in his travels, he was not all that far from Morningside. He could make it home before sundown, he was sure. The boy did not know why he was here, but he liked it. The plains were beautiful - it was dotted with leafy trees (he did not know what kind) whose branches hung low, and there were thin streams flowing downwards to a place he was unfamiliar with. The banks of the water were surrounded by odd looking plants, ones that he found rather interesting. It was so simple, yet so complicated.

And he loved it.
