Redhawk Caldera All my life I’ve been burdened by the dreams

He wasn’t sure what he was expecting as far as responses went, but it definitely wasn’t this.  Yet, as she questioned him, it made perfect sense.  Of course she’d think that.  And what could he say back? That he was having some kind of weird mid-life crisis? That he didn’t know what the fuck he was doing anymore? That he’d been mad and taken it out on her when he should have had her back like a brother was meant to?

“You got me,” he shook his head and grinned sheepishly.  “Got a pretty nasty buck on my tail, actually.  Guess I jacked one too many antlers from the fellow and he’s looking to get me to pay up.”
