The sandy girl stated that she was pleased to have been there, and there was some great amount of relief in knowing that without having to prompt it. The skeletal titan feared that they would not all gather there, in spite of what had been intended for them. Morrigan still had not found her way to the new wilds, and he could not entirely recall when he had last scented her on the wind. There was a part of him that wondered if their sister had returned back to the islands of their birth – if it had been too much for her to leave their mother behind. Again, he could not understand the attachment of an emotional bond.

If there were ever another soul he could have been close to feeling that way about, she was the one who stood at his side. She was the one who requested that he show her where they would likely live out the rest of their days.

With a low bow, Ford moved through the ashen earth and charred brush toward a small opening. He shouldered it aside to make way for them to step through. Once on the other side, the warhound trotted down the small slope that ended with glorious sandy beaches. The waves lapped against the shore as though they were greeting him, and the titan felt as though they were. His mismatched gaze turned back to latch onto his sandy sister. For a moment, he simply stood so that she might take in all that they had inherited.
