Lost Creek Hollow the ground remembers

Liffey was glad when the other female admitted to not being bothered by the intrusion on her solitude. She relaxed a bit, but not completely. She offered a smile as her companion spoke, but meanwhile, her mind raced to try and figure out if this girl was a newcomer or if she'd been one of those packmates that had been around for a while that Liffey had disregarded in her obsession with caring for Rannoch after his injuries. She wanted to ask, but what if she was someone Liffey ought to have known already? Not for the first time, the Frostfur berated herself for being so closed off from her pack.

"What a nice name.. I'm Liffey, Rannoch's mate," she said, introducing herself. And then, seeing no use avoiding it, she asked, "Are you new to the Hollow?"
