The silver Praetor had finished his duties and was currently sitting on top of the hill, near the arch entrance of Noctisardor Bypass. His gaze on the sun as Apollo dragged the source of light downwards so his sister could take up the moon. Things had slowly became smoother and less chaotic, more disciplined and orderly. It wouldn't be long before winter came and he was glad his pack mates had the brains to order themselves, perform their daily duties and do everything expected of them. He knew Flash was a daily patroller and was planning to relieve him of probatioship soon. Farkas, a good hunter, probably would make a good senator. But he was currently thinking most about her. His wife, Paar.

He was sincerely sorry for always going on with his duties and seemingly abandoning her, only snatching a bit of time at night to curl up beside her and sleep before having to wake up again and repeat the whole thing all over again. But those days would soon be over, if his subordinates continued to be as orderly, disciplined and completed their duties as usual, he could relax ever so slightly and perhaps if Paar had time. They could, well, enjoy each other's company like they did at the Creek.

The Roman knew he had changed from the carefree outrider he was at the Creek to a more dignified, dutiful, proud Roman as the Praetor of Noctisardor Bypass but really, they were simply the same person. And he was planning to retire back to the carefree wolf he was before but he knew that nothing would be the same again for at that time he was a subordinate of an Alpha. Now he was at the top of the totem pole and responsibilities nagged at him every moment of his life.
