ajaw lets ajtzak take the lead, as this was his conversation. ajaw is patience; content to listen, despite that a question is asked.
the earth song is strong here,a wild, siren symphony that only ajaw can hear, they suspect. it is enough to hold their ground despite the press of neighbors from nearly all sides.
tikal were warriors and traders, yes, but ajaw has conveniently, for the sake of peace, left out the skill: conquerers. ajaw is not worried.
this one will not he swayed from this place despite what the neighbors think.
