All Welcome
@Terance this will be easiest if it occurs before my thread with his MSP joining attempt, since it's up in the air right now ^^;

Because Moonspear was the only pack he had encountered since the Keep, Kavos instinctively stuck around. And though he dare not approach it, as he had already been reprimanded for this, there was no mistaking that his lingering meant he wanted in. It was his loneliness certainly, causing him not to stray too far from the only place he knew housed at least two others. If only he'd paid more attention to his wanderlust than the task he had been given, he might have found companionship sooner.

It was a clear, breezy night on the terrace, and the green grass was lain silver by the moonbeams resting there, a gift from the cloudless sky— a sweet omen that summer was near. His first spring would be drawing its curtains closed to his first summer soon, and as he sat, ears swiveling for the cricketsong and eyes trained on a plump moon, he let himself marvel for the first time that the weather was nice.

i'm not sure where terance was at that point, but i don't think he was part of MS yet either! glad i get to see an amara baby <3

terance noticed the white wolf just as he'd noticed the moon. both were luminous and stuck out like a sore thumb, but for one terance was not as focused on the moon as he usually was. his green gaze narrowed, eyeing the stranger with uncertainty. his should still stung occasionally from the encounter he had not long ago, but he was proud of his ability to fight him off. despite his uncertainty, terance felt rather confident. seeing that the pale boy was roughly his age (and size) terance let out a light chuff.

without introducing himself or his intentions, terance fell to a bow. he didn't seem hostile or rude, but he wanted to test himself-- and have a little social interaction maybe. he still missed sarah and the rest of his family, and a good practice fight was a good distraction.

I know Terance had joined them recently, but I think this would've been set just after that I think -- but really either way doesn't seem to make much of a difference though lol <3

One of his ears turned to a sound that did not belong with the insects. He turned his head to see a dark male approaching, his green eyes sticking out more than the rest of him. Kavos rose uncertainly, his spine prickling and his expression alert as the stranger gave a wordless chuff, and slipped into a playful-looking pose. Canting his head, the teen stood rigidly for a long moment, before his tail began to wiggle uncertainly in the face of the other's intention.

All this time alone had not turned Kavos into the abrasive ghost that was his father. He was defensive in his own way, but not yet adverse to decent company. Perhaps because of his condition, because he could not feel, it made him less wary of the things that he should have shied from. At any rate, he found himself puzzling at the male, distantly thinking of some long-faded childhood before relenting slightly to his presence. Cautiously, the pale loner began to ease slowly into a return-bow.

whatever works! (:

he seemed cautious, and for a moment terance feared that this would go wildly south. but, slowly, the pale stranger returned his bow and therefore accepted his offer-- he had to, that was practically law. the yearling gave another chuff, his tail wagging wildly (to further show how friendly he was!) and gave a few taps of his paws against the ground-- almost dancing before the stranger. he was ready to go, and not at all a threat-- he hoped the other would see that and stay.

"you can go first," he offered with a grin, ears cupped forward..

Kavos hesitated at the suggestion he go first. He was a reactive creature by nature; nearly incapable of making a decision that didn't involve him reciprocating to something that had occurred beforehand. But after a moment of waiting— and realizing nothing was happening— the wicked boy jumped forward abruptly, but did not close the distance. A pump-fake that might goad the onyx yearling forward and into his tense and excited clutches.

also! kavos looks a lot like how i had originally pictured aaron and that makes me so happy-- even tho he's totally not aaron's son lol

the boy jumped but all it did was force terance to give a playful tap of his jaws forward-- and totally whiff. he was a stone, braced for impact and ready to counter-- but it appeared that this stranger held the same tactic. damn. he held still for a moment, waiting to see if the pale boy would make another move... but it never occurred.

forced from his comfort zone, set on getting this mild interaction with a stranger, terance himself lunged (after a good bit of thinking). the stranger was just as bulky as he was, and they were both weak from traveling without a healthy flow of sustenance. it didn't make sense to try to bowl him over, so instead terance aimed to knock him off balance. at the last second his head would curve and he'd aim to knock his weight (through his shoulder) against the shoulder of the other in attempt to knock him to the side-- should his attempt work, anyway.

Lmao, aww if only! Will you ever be bringing Aaron back?

For a moment the two of them were stagnated as they both reverted to relying on the tactics they knew best— a patient and stalwart defense. But there wouldn't be any sort of play if they two just stood there, waiting for the other to make a move, so the darker boy of the pair took it upon himself to truly initiate their workout. Kavos watched the lunge skillfully, dodging sideways to accommodate the male's jump forward, but while he was expecting to meet teeth with teeth, he was thrown off by the unexpected shove of the stranger's upper body; forcing Kavos off balance, and sending him staggering to the side. In an attempt to steady himself, he left his side completely open for another quick attack.

hopefully soon (:

excitement whipped through terance's brain as his attack proved successful, but he held a stoic face as he skidded to a stop. the pale boy staggered, steadying himself, and terance whipped around to see an opening. his left-side was left open, and terance was ready. the rock took no hesitations-- as his father had taught him-- and leapt forward towards the other once again. this time, he was not so keen to ram himself into the other, and instead opted for a nip to the shoulder, feeling that was a more appropriate move given that the other was probably more balanced now.

What the younger of the two rapscallions lacked in bulk, he made up for in sheer speed. Kavos' recovery time was too fast for the dark yearling to take full advantage of him, and instead nipping his shoulder, he wound up mouth to mouth with his opponent as their game of throwing their weight at each other briefly turned into a wicked little spar of jaws and teeth.

It wasn't in the nature of wolves to draw blood in this manner— not when there was a mutual understanding between both parties that they were only seeking a victor between them, not violent retribution. Even with his lack of integration, the feral child knew instinctively that he didn't want to taste this wolf's flesh. A bout of wrestling would be just fine; and the boy's heart leapt suddenly, not quite realizing that he was having fun.

terance was plenty used to the concept of fun. he and sarah and even wraen had had their share of wrestling and games. it'd been a while since he'd had the opportunity considering his situation, but the excitement was in no way foreign. this was what pups did, and it was what they'd always done, and terance was plenty used to that.

his teeth met not fluffy shoulder, but rough tooth, as the pair butted heads (quite literally) a handful of times. from his throat a playful whine followed by a light growl escaped-- his wagging tail showing the nature of the growl. the game now was different, but terance found no problem with it. his teeth clicked against his opponents and so he retreated and tried to nip again, left of the boy's head this time.
