close to camp, but away enough for some sembleance of privacy. ghelan has gathered some trinkets off the most recent kill. tufts of caribou fur, pearly white rabbit fur, and an assortment of yellowed molars.

he lacked something to hold what shouldve been an amulet all together. so they lay in the snow, ghelan looking upon his work with mild reverance to pass the time.

Away from other's, and so away from what he does not wish to see.

He has wandered with the assumption that he will wander alone, but now he sees a familiar face. The son of Sun Eater, a figure he respects and envies all the same. Paws heavy in the snows, he finds himself approaching without thought.

someone approaches. these footsteps were different from aapa, so ghelan doesn't scramble to hide his collection. instead, he only pulls his forearms inward to himself, a gentle shield.

a face he recognized as one of the many in saatsine. still, he was a stanger to ghelan, and in his scent the boy recognized his father. perhaps it would've been smarter to further hide his amulet-to-be — god forbid the man would recognize it as sharadoii and reprimand him. or worse, warn father of his treacherous son — but he wasn't smart, and a part of him had faith in this stranger.

'collecting'.. ghelan's brows furrowed while trying to recall what the common word meant. yes. for.. uhm. the caribou son rises just lightly to gesture to his amulet with the clumsy wave of his arm. this.

He is unsure of just what the other wishes to show him; the ghost talker is yet to see such an item. Twitching ears and nose move forward to touch, looking to the other as if to ask permission. I haven't seen one before.

Is it just some sort of accessory? He had seen wolves wear animal parts before, so he supposed it wouldn't be so odd. Kekoa had considered it himself from time to time. He was determined to learn more.

accessory... yea, it is. his brow furrowed as he recalled the word's meaning. kekoa — river walker. what name would father give him? dung speaker first came to mind, and ghelan couldn't help but smile at his own joke. ghelan he answered, even if he was sure the young man knew his name already.

sensing river walker's curiosity, he looked down again at his work. with his paw, he'd guide the pieces further into place, fixing errors in as he spoke. its supposed to give you good luck.. but.. i have nothing to tie it with. so the ground wears it for now.

Something to give good luck. With a hum he considered this. What do you need to tie it? Maybe he could help; usually he would not, but he was in a particularly good mood today.

He had never heard of wolves tieing things together to wear them, but the Saatsine wolves did all sorts things that appeared odd to him. He had simply stopped asking questions, it was easier that way.

seaweed. but sap would work too, if he tried hard enough. we'd have to turn right back around to find it though. and father wouldn't want to get nearer to the moon wolves than he had to.

he swiped snow over it with his forearm. there was no point in keeping it, when it had no hope to be assembled anytime soon. the land can have it for itself, maybe lead to a kinder spring and summer.

He gives a nod, pondering momentarily. If I take a trip to the coast, I'll look for some. If he was planning to go that way anyways, then he may as well.

Standing and giving his limbs a brief stretch, he offers only a brief nod before taking his exit. It can be good to be amiable, but in the end Kekoa still aims to keep a veil of mystery. It feels safer that way.

He will keep quiet, provide this favour if he can, and move on.
