Her eyes inspected the bundle as Potema explained, her nose crinkling in displeasure at the thought of stuffing down herbs to produce yet more milk. Her eyes drifted warily back to the child whining by her side and back to the leaves laid before her. If it would shut the girl up, she would do anything. "If it will help..." Taking the leaves tenderly in her mouth, she fought the urge to spit it back out. Her appetite for almost anything had been reduced within the last few days, only to surge with hunger within the hour. The cause of this, she had her suspicions, but she dared not say it out loud. Admitting her current state in words would make it real, and that was something she was not ready for. Instead her teeth crunched upon the bitter greens, and swallowing them hardly. She trusted Potema for her word, that these herbs would help produce enough to sustain the girl until she could be put on solids. And she could not wait for that day.
She watched, almost protectively, as Potema took the girl into her grasp. Potema had named the girl a daedra name, yet they all had silently, collectively agreed to call her by the name chosen by Kove; at least when Damien was not around to hear. Both names seemed to suit the girl, yet she knew the girl herself would one day choose a name for her own when the time was right. Let it be Qilaq or Xivilai, it did not matter. She was now a Blackfeather wolf, and the next Spiderling to earn the Brotherhood mark. The tiny girl that rested between the paws of the brotherhood acolyte would never know her past, nor the burden that rested on her shoulders. Damien would be watching, waiting for the girl to prove she had worth to them; the pressure of all the eyes of the Brotherhood upon the child, waiting to see what she was made of.

More than once had Nemesis licked away the blood from the wound, so that it may not get infected; yet she was no healer. The girl was lucky Kove had found her sooner rather than later, when her injuries would have far extended a cut or two. "Do you know much about children?" She peered up to the woman, her inquisition a serious one. The more she knew about how they worked, the less chances she had at failing. Yet, her curiosity to learn more was not only for the benefit of Qilaq but the children she was yet to have. That was, if those said children were even alive in the first place.
