Though Rannoch was eager to throw in some counter in response to what Deirdre offered, he could not find the proper words to do just that. It was as if his world had been flipped upside down with the wisdom she offered. He shuffled uneasily and looked away briefly as he thought about what had been said.  

What if Skellige wasn’t the villain of this story? What if it was Rannoch?

He did not want that role.

“Can we each be the good guys?” He asked finally, looking to Deirdre with a frown as she attempted to wrangle his thoughts. “Or is one of us ultimately the villain?” He swallowed in anticipation as he waited on her response.
