MORNINGSIDERRRRRRRRRRS

Sleep was quickly becoming an integral part of Akuti's daily routine, for once the evening came around, she was up and moving like the busy-body she'd always been. The sunset pulled her lids open and her body upright, motivating her to give one swift shake of her coat and a wiggle of her bottom before setting off to begin her evening duties. Near the Southern tail of the territory had she spotted a lavender bush similar to the one which she had known within Steady's lands, yet with a much brighter hue and taller stalks. She dove into the small shelter as soon as it came into view, bathing herself in the sweet scent.

*Throws Sylvas at you* x3

The scent of lavender became more pungent as he strolled onward, his leathery nose twitching as his amber eyes fell upon a dark figure rolling herself amongst the purple shrubbery up ahead. Puzzled slightly at the strangers actions, the mercenary slowly approached, gradually coming to a halt as soon as he was close enough to see the woman fully. As he stood there, tail swayed behind him, his large paws shifted, crushing the grass beneath them as he silently observed the peculiar woman, until allowing a friendly chuff to escape his brown and cream hued muzzle, for it was only polite to make his presence known.

Dipping his head, black lips parted and the male spoke in greeting, ”Evening.” He said, offering the stranger a smile, though the mercenary knew the woman to be apart of their banding group, though unfortunately, Sylvas couldn't remember her name.

Akuti's head popped up from the lavender patch with her ears perked forward and her jade eyes beyond attentive. There was a moment of silence between the brute's "Evening" and her own retort — Who are you? — though it was of the contemplative sort, rather than the condescending one. She stood and shook her curls free of the pollen, her stub of a tail wiggling excitedly behind her. She quite enjoyed meeting others of the pack, and Akuti could tell from his scent that this was exactly where he had come from.

As she emerged from the pungent flora, Akuti took a seat a few steps away from him and watched him intently.

He'd remained quiet as the silence lingered between them for the moment, standing patiently, observing the woman till she eventually decided to pop her head up from the lavender bush to look at him. And Sylvas' golden eyes continued to stare at her curiously, his brown ears twitching suddenly at her seemingly abrupt question and the male's ears flicked back against his head, ”Apologies.” The mercenary began as he shifted himself on his large paws, the brute's leathery nose twitching as the aroma of lavender wafted in the breeze, ”I'm Sylvas.” He continued smoothly, offering the ebony female a polite bow of his head before adding, ”I'm sorry if I've interrupted anything important?” He smiled slightly as he gave a friendly wag of his tail.

There was a slight wave of guilt which washed over Akuti, for she hadn't meant to make the brute feel bad for trying to start conversation. In truth, she hadn't been doing anything important at all so there was no reason for him to apologize. I'm Akuti, she said in a much warmer tone, There's nothing too important happening. I just like to spend some time with the lavender patch. They reminded her of her children; fragile and soothing. In her mind, being able to associate them with the plants meant that they would never be apart, even with hundreds of miles in between them.

Akuti took a few steps forward from the lavender and circled Sylvas, though in a more playful than daunting way. So what brings you here?

His ears swivelled forward as the ebony woman spoke and a smile grew when she first offered him her name, then assuring him that he hadn't interrupted anything too important and so the brute politely dipped his head once more, giving Akuti a friendly wag of his tail, ”That's nice to know.” He said with a light laugh, relieved at the thought, ”Is it simply the smell of the lavender that draws you to it?” The mercenary asked with a tilt of his head, his large paws gradually lowering the bulky male to sit upon his haunches as his golden eyes followed the now circling female.

Sylvas couldn't help but smirk as he watched Akuti circle him, his head lifting slightly when his ears caught the sound of her own question, ”Just patrolling the areas, really.” He replied with a casual swish of his tail as his head turned, his gold gaze continuing to follow the woman as she moved around him.
