well he's titled so i'm assuming he's a BFW now @Euron

since his solemn meeting with the pack leader, iliksis had been quiet. he had drawn himself away from company, resting in the slender hold of a clutch of heather not too far from the borders. from that vantage he oversaw plains -- and was far enough from activity that he expected very few visitors.

his appetite returned to him and slothfully, he uncoiled from the small burrow and out into the open range, where the wind scoured his face and powder shifted along the landscape like rolling fog. unwilling to face the chill of the plains, iliksis turned inward -- following his nose as he looked for the pack's hidden cache.

He had grown accustom to happening upon random new scents in the territory. In his short life there had been a number of them. Only this one was not entirely unfamiliar. The boy snuffled about the tracks in the snow, making faces as he tried to place where he had encountered this scent before. He knew he knew it. He also knew he was prone to lapses in memory and momentarily flattened his ears in renewed frustration at the fact. Determined to put a face to the scent he loped along, ever ghost-like even when not intentionally sneaking and trying to make ground.

Soon enough he spotted a dark wolf and paused his steps. Recollection came like a jolt. That rotted skull! That thing that this wolf did to that rotted skull! His heart thudded in his chest and peered into the shadows at his sides and beyond the swarthy figure. Was that white female with him too? (Why was she always around when dead heads were involved)? She was nowhere to be seen (probably because this time there were no dead heads), but Euron narrowed his eyes suspiciously anyway. Much about that day, the act and the feelings it stirred in his guts, still confused him.

Euron was emboldened being in his own territory. He marched forward, eyes glimmering with a question that he did not hesitate to speak when he drew near.

"What were you doing?"

his snout was deep within a gouge of snow and dirt when he heard the unconcealed approach of another. he pulled his snow-flecked nose from the ground, swept the detritus back into the hole with a single forepaw, and looked upon the stranger.

it was a small creature, young even for iliksis. upon first glance the male assumed it was female and excitement stirred in him -- only to be snuffed out like a small candle when the boy's scent betrayed his gender. iliksis did not miss the mismatched eyes, and for a moment seemed lost in the foreign hues of the boy's purple gaze. the way the youth marched forward to him drew a slight smile to the inquitous wolf's muzzle, though it faded swiftly and was replaced by blandness.

iliksis' ear drew back as he tried to make sense of the question. "when?"

He tucked his ears back. When indeed. He could not remember exactly. For a moment his eyes left the stranger's slender face to peer at the ground but Euron knew he was not a keeper of time (he was more a loser of time) and he did not think on the answer long.

"I am not knowing for sure. Not long before now. I saw you. Out there β€”" The boy bobbed his snout toward the north western border. It had been out there on the meadow that he had seen this dark fellow. "There was a head I wanted and you took it."

Euron narrowed his eyes on the stranger's and sloooowly cocked his head, and at the last moment, when his head reached its maximum inclination, his gaze flicked to the wolf's crotch. Whatever he had seen there last time was not there now and he noted that with a quiet hmph and furrowed brows. He popped his head up then and asked another question, eyes glinting curiously.

"What is the thing you were doing to it?"

it took a moment, but iliksis' features cracked in an ugly grin as he connected the boy's words with his actions. the skull. he missed that skull, and wished he had not given it to reigi to consume. he thought he would enjoy finding it again -- perhaps if he was lucky, he would come across it at some point in his future travels.

he rose to his thin limbs and delight danced across his dull eyes. euron was awfully young even for his taste, but the mention of his past iniquity stirred the beast in his belly enough that iliksis considered indulging in it. the glance euron spared to his underbelly did not hurt his appetite either -- it only roused it as he was reminded of his powerful (to him, anyway) libido. "i could show you, if you like." he suggested, prowling closer to the boy with slow and careful steps.

"Yes." Euron answered, but as the wolf started to move into the buffer he had set between them, he took a couple paces back to preserve it. "You can stay there and show me." Tension gathered in his limbs. It was like the day on the borders. His mind worked to find some way to deflect the wolf's focus from him (Euron was obviously not a wolf for the spotlight; he was a backstage agent that lurked behind the curtains and moved in the shadows, that was uneasy when so much attention was on him).

"There," he said, gesturing with a paw toward a skull-sized stump, "try that." But in case that would not do, the boy presented another suggestion.

"Or we can go to the borders and find another head."

you can stay there and show me. iliksis' tail lashed against his hocks -- that was a most unconstructive and not fun suggestion. his long ears pulled back along his skull and he looked at the with a vaguely bemused expression. euron's posture had shifted -- iliksis could see the tension reeling from it.

he followed euron's gesture, his gaze settling on a stump with an orifice not so different than the one that had served him well a few weeks before. he moved towards it like a shadow, coiling around it as he inspected the depth of the knob. it was mostly rotted, but it had little appeal to him. it was not living -- not in the way a dead wolf was -- and the defilement of this object would be meaningless.

"i will need to warm up first." he said, pulling from besides the stump as he slowly and menacingly approached euron again. his movement was careful, like some lioness stalking its prey -- and there sat in his eyes a hunger that had not necessarily been there before.

He felt no comfort in this wolf's presence. His eyes narrowed and he glowered at the dark male's insistence at coming toward him and being near. It β€” and all the queer feelings that he had stirred in the boy's gut out on the meadow β€” had the longer wisps of fur on his nape stiffening into quills. The boy might have fled then but these were his woods and that emboldened him, even though he had witnessed an attack on his brother among these trees and knew the forest not to be impenetrable by danger. There was also the electric thrill of being near to scary.

Euron lifted a forepaw and let it hang for just a moment before he took several unfaltering steps toward Iliksis rather than backward as he originally thought to do. "You are afraid." He stated. His smooth voice was low, and it was starting to pick up a bit of gravel as he aged. "You are making excuses." His silver and indigo eyes fixed brazenly on the other wolf's striking yellow and his ears flung forwards in challenge. His uncertain and flighty composure had been replaced with a bold and daring one.

it was not in his nature to lust after boys -- but euron sat before him like a crumpet, tantalizing and taunting. iliksis did not mind euron challenged him -- it would be his lesson to learn that the male feared for nothing.

he reciprocated the youth's advances, his tail drooped loosely around his hocks. as if he were relaxed, unthreatened -- and perhaps he was.

"so are you. turn around." he instructed, his voice taking on a soft purl. he envisioned anatha's nubile curves -- the way she bent underneath him like a crippled bird. it was not hard for him to arouse himself this way, and he shifted (or tried) behind euron with catlike steps.

like a snake he drew up close, trailing himself around euron as if constricting him with his presence. should the boy allow, he would gently brush up against him -- and then without warning, would lash forward to pin him and press his throbbing loins against him. he did not seek entry, but would enjoy the sensation of a squirming boy against his belly if he was lucky enough to aim true.

Iliksis was an enigma. He did not behave like the other wolves who Euron encountered; the ones that were easily swayed by his suggestions. Neither of his tactics worked to redirect the dark male's attention and for a moment the boy found himself reconsidering running while he had the chance; but his heart was starting to hammer and his blood seemed to drain down to his paws, where his pads were beginning to sweat. This should have spurred him into flight and it would have any other wolf but him β€” he who was intoxicated by fear and the electric current it sent through his limbs.

Iliksis was closer now and his composure was threatening to come undone. He let the wolf prowl behind him in his lingering transfixion, allowing himself to believe he was safe to indulge in the wild energy the situation was steeping him in. It was more intense than he had ever felt before and only when Iliksis touched him did he flinch and start to see again through his inebriated haze.

Too late.

He tried to spring like a startled fawn but the dark wolf had already ensnared him. The boy writhed and growled and protested his confinement β€” "let me up!" β€” but even now he felt a sort of attraction to his predicament and his efforts to escape it were flimsy. He still wanted to feel this fear even as panic challenged for dominance and a clash of emotions both alien and familiar sickened him.

for a moment iliksis hung on -- he wanted to do to euron what he had done to so many before -- but his senses overcame him and he lifted from the snow with a satisfied sneer. "if the little prince insists." he did not catch that euron was somehow oddly enticed by the pressure of an adult's body on his small frame -- and if he had, perhaps he would have engaged in his playful torment of the youth further.

as it was, euron was partially saved by the fact he lacked the equipment iliksis often preferred to play with. as he pulled away from the boy he studied him once more, once more captured by his misleading andrognyny. he folded himself leanly into the snow,Β  placing his head upon his paws as he watched euron for his reaction.

His confinement ended just as he was about to break. Euron sprung away several leaps then spun around to face the black wolf and pranced in place, flicking his paws like a hydrophobic cat that had stepped in a puddle water. His freedom came with an overwhelming but pleasurable sense of relief. He felt hot. He felt like he might float away and quickly sat as if to anchor himself. His paws had stilled but he still trembled and breathed hard. Had he known what it meant, Euron might have said he felt high. But for the boy, the queer assortment of feelings were indescribable.

He only knew that he liked them.

He watched raptly as the dark male lied down in the snow. Had Iliksis pushed Euron to the point where he freaked out the outcome might have been different. He might have truly frightened the boy and sent him careening off the path he was on to where he may no longer have found fear to be so arousing and invigorating. Instead, Iliksis had only stoked that flame. He had taken Euron to the pinnacle of fear and then released him. It was a euphoric and orgasmic experience but it would be some time before the boy could make the connection between sexual climax and this.

Calming down, the boy let out a long exhale and stretched himself in the same way that the black wolf did, miming him. Euron's tail beat and swept the snow and he smiled playfully, his eyes glinting with the same frisky expression. He had returned to his usual self and naively no longer regarded the wolf as strange or suspicious, and certainly not dangerous.

"Thank you," he said.

it was a shame iliksis lacked the ability to read one's mind: had he the skill, he may never have released the grey boy from his clutch.

instead, he remained ignorant to the turbulence in euron's brain -- he was only aware of euron's outward appearance, which to him suggested the blackfeather boy was still digesting what had transpired. when euron made to stretch in a similar manner iliksis set one paw over the other and watched him curiously.

incautiously, he licked at a front paw, his gaze still transfixed on euron. iliksis found the boy odd, but had more troubling things to focus on -- specifically, his roused appetite.

he dismissed euron's thank you (whatever for, he wondered) with a flick of a tail, and pulling himself up heavily, made to leave. he hoped he could perhaps encounter relmyna while still in such an aroused state -- granted she might rebuff his advances, but it had never stopped him before.

Had Iliksis inquired what Euron was grateful for he would have said: "for letting me up when I asked."

He stood when Iliksis did. His mouth parted and he balanced two questions on the tip of his tongue, but as he realized he did not need to ask them β€” that there was a better and more entertaining way to get the answers β€” he closed his jaws and smiled to himself. Sitting in the snow, Euron watched as the black wolf strolled away, and then he started to sneak after him.

Where was he going?

What was he going to do?

Euron would find out.

iliksis was aware that as he left euron, the small wolf made concealed efforts to follow him. iliksis did not have an opinion one way or another about the hidden company, and if anything, perhaps euron's trailing after him would sharpen the young boy's ability to sneak undetected.

for that reason alone, iliksis stayed his hand and did not insist on euron ceasing his actions. with or without a shadow, iliksis would do what iliksis did -- and it would be euron, not him, that was sorrier for witnessing it.
