"Well, those are good values to have," the swarthy leader said, an ear flicking in response to a noise off to his right, though paid it little attention otherwise. "What are you looking for in a home? I'm not typically one to make sales pitches—no need, as we do well enough without any bullshitting—but I can tell you about the plateau if you're interested."

Silently, secretly, he added an addendum to that: Anything to keep me from picturing my brother's red rocket angling for my wife's pink socket. He couldn't remember where he'd heard that... ah, he'd overheard Bones say that once and it had stuck with him.
