Aliac had to find some more food for her pack. Everyone including herself was becoming more and more skinny. She was to the point where her skin nearly clung to her ribcage.

Grezig had not meant to come back to this godawful place. She had traveled back to the Emberwood, but then she’d kept going without paying much attention, and over time, the air had grown thicker and the smell had gotten worse, and now there was mud caked to her paws. She grimaced as she lifted first one paw, then the other, and shook them like a cat who accidentally stepped in water. It did no good. Some globs of mud came flying off, but the moment she put her paws back down, the mud seeped back into them. She sighed, and was about to turn back to the woods behind her, but there was a wolf coming towards her through the mist now, and she chuffed to let them know she was there. Drawing her eyebrows together, she couldn’t help but wonder why there was someone else out here, in this disgusting place?

Aliac couldn't help but think of Khali. How could she not remember her own brother. Though it would make sense, he was raised by another wolf. All her memories came back to her and flooded her brain all at once. The female whom raised her died in a hunt, the avalanche that made her loose her memory, the male whom named her Aliac and nursed her back to health but somehow disappeared. She even thinks of her true name Asatira. She was however unaware of the other wolfs presence.

Grezig stood still, waiting for the wolf’s response, but they seemed lost in thought. Rolling her eyes, she sloshed through the mud towards them. “Hey!” she called out. “Pay attention!” It was dangerous to be so lost in thought in a place like this. Swamps could make you hopelessly lost, you could step on something poisonous, fall into the water where you thought there was solid land… anything could happen. What could be so important that this wolf wasn’t giving her surroundings any attention? “What are you doing out here?” Grezig demanded, though in the back of her mind she knew the same question could be asked of her. But at least she was watching where she was going. What if Grezig had wanted to attack this female? It would have been all too easy.
Closing this because Aliac is on PPC.

Still, the woman did not pay attention, and Grezig huffed in irritation. With a snort, she turned away and began the trudge back towards the mountain.
